This meme is brought to you by the letter "G"

Comment and I'll give you a letter. List 10 persons/things you love that start with the respective letter.

fialleril Gave me the letter "G". This was a fun meme!

1. Garbage. I've been a big fan of this band since the video for "Queer" off their debut album premiered on MTV [insert MTV joke here]. For a long time my brother and I had a semi-contest to see who could own the most import-singles by the band.

2. "Gold". And I'm talking about the song by Prince, not the precious-metal. "Gold" (from the album The Gold Experience) is one of my favorites by Prince's and one of his cleanest songs.

3. Grey DeLisle! This woman is one of the main reasons I became interested in the Star Wars handmaidens. She is the go-to voice for Star Wars cartoon females (Padmé, Shaak Ti, Asajj Ventress), it was her voice in the TPM video game that won me over. She was credited as the voice of Queen Amidala, but those in the know are aware that she was also the voice of her decoy, Sabé, in one sequence where Obi-Wan has to escort the queen to the hanger where her ship awaits. The character makes one off-handed comment that made me laugh every time. When you (playing as Obi-Wan) stand too close to the queen for an extended period of time, she would hautily-sneer, "You're standing on my dress." This was such a memorable line, that I got Ms. DeLisle to autograph my picture of snow-bunny Padmé with it! I'll try to post a picture of it soon. EDIT: Here it is!

4. Green grass. Preferably freshly cut, with the sound of rotary-sprinklers in the background, and the sun setting on the distant horizon.

5. The Galactic Empire. Because without a Galactic Empire, there would be no Rebel Alliance to defeat it. ;)

6. Goldenrod. This moniker is only trumped by Pathetic Life Form.

7. "Great shades of Elvis!" If Smallville ever decides to add Perry White to the cast, he must say this at some point!

8. Ghirardelli chocolate. 'Nuff said.

9. Grand slams. The play at the plate is my favorite moment in a baseball game, but grand slams are always exciting and great momentum changers.

10. George Lucas. How could I forget???
  • Current Mood: good good
For a long time my brother and I had a semi-contest to see who could own the most import-singles by the band.
That is very cool, I think
Do you still have all the imports?
They do have some great songs.

"You're standing on my dress."
LOL. Great autograph too and wow you got all the hard cover novels.

Yep, I still have the imports, although I think he may be way ahead of me now.

I have alot of the hardcovers, maybe too many, so I'm being much more selective these days when I purchase SW novels.

I will now assign you the letter... T.
I find that I too rather just borrow from the library now. Running out of space.

OK, have to think about T for a few minutes.
Grey DeLisle

Also the voice of Azula on Avatar. :D She's one very dangerous lady.

Because without a Galactic Empire, there would be no Rebel Alliance to defeat it. ;)

Good reason. ;)

"Great shades of Elvis!"

What I love most about this line is that Elvis has more than one shade. ;)
What I love most about this line is that Elvis has more than one shade.

Hmmm... never thought of it that way. I think I will assign you the letter... L.
Wow, I did not know that about Grey DeLisle! I always thought Sabe was just a mixture of Nat, Keira, and audio processing. That's pretty neat! Hehe, I remember watching people play that game. I used to wait until they got to the right level and make them step on her dress over and over again.

Tee hee, you certainly know your g's!
Hi, I just stopped by to admire your Luke icon. It is very nice. :)
Thanks! fialleril did a nice job, didn't she?

I suddenly realized that I could have added Corvette Summer to my "C" edition of this meme, although I haven't seen it in a long time.

Btw, you don't happen to be a member of the Minnesota Fan Force, do you?
Ah Corvette Summer! I saw it dubbed in Spanish once and my love for it grew stronger.

Unfortunately, I am not a member of Minnesota Fan Force. I have always been interested in joining. They seem to be a very fun active group. I have lurked on their forums before just to see if any related to SW going on around Twin Cities.

Isn't MNFF mostly a costuming group?
I think this is the main reason why I haven't joined up. I just cannot see myself costuming. I totally respect those who do this. It actually looks like a lot of great fun.

As for myself when it comes to the SW fandom, I love participating in SW events such as CIV. I cannot wait until this summer's Science museum exhibit opens. I am also into collecting (mostly Luke) and reading fan fiction. Just curious are you a member of Minnesota Fan Force as well? And if so, do they take members who are not into costuming?

Above all, it was really nice to meet another fan from Minnesota and I look forward to chatting with you soon.
~Celosia :)
I wasn't a member of the MNFF when I was living there, I just went to a couple of book-signings they were at and kept up with what they were doing and such on their message boards. I looked at your user-info and thought that you might be. I think they're involved with a lot of costuming and collecting and all that 501st kind of stuff.

CIV was fantastic!
