Review of Vantage Point

Dennis Quaid hunts down terrorists and assasins in this exciting thriller. With over a half-dozen sub-plots (vantage points) intermingling with a central story-line about an assasination attempt on the President of the United States, you would think it would be difficult to keep track of what is happening, but the film moves fairly smoothly and it only requires just a little extra effort on the viewer's part to realize exactly what is going on. The movie "rewinds" and "restarts" several times when changing point-of-view, which some of the audience at my theater found annoying, but I thought it was an effective technique. If you're looking for a good way to kill 90 minutes without getting too emotionally involved, Vantage Point is just the movie for you. Grade: B+.
