Can it be called twilight, too?

I'm not talking about books or movies, I'm talking about the predawn time of the day before the sun comes up. If twilight means that time after the sun sets when there's still some light, what about the time before the sun rises?

Just wondering.

twilight = light from sun when it's below horizon either during dusk OR dawn; so you could use the words twilight, or dawn to describe light before the sun rises.

so the answer to your question, is that predawn = dawn, (or twilight) lol.
Thanks for the info. I was kinda hoping for something more... poetic maybe(?), but I'm okay with twilight being used for both dusk and dawn.
