Hobbit Casting begins

Director Guillermo del Toro has told BBC Radio that Andy Serkis will return as Gollum, Ian McKellan is back as Gandalf, and Hugh Weaving reprises the role of Elrond, but the casting of young Bilbo Baggins is still up in the air.

Plot wise, "They may expand sub-plot material from the book. For instance Gandalf’s role will be expanded and we’ll see more of his quest which happens off stage in the book" which sounds a little like what Peter Jackson did with LotR.

My choice of icons is the closest thing to LotR-related that I have. :)
