Or, three days in, getting your connection fixed, only to have it go down five minutes after the guy leaves, and then trying to call customer service, and they decide not to answer! "We'll connect you to the next available operator." *call drops* WTF!?!?!?!
After a long nine days, they finally sent someone who seems to know what he's doing and yesterday and my internet has been working as normal ever since. Granted, normal isn't great, but it's better than not having it at all.
I may have mentioned once that my internet is bundled with my rent, well during one of my recent outages I learned that my landlords are paying for a package with speeds that the service provider doesn't even offer anymore. The guy that came out yesterday said that they'll try to get the people I'm paying my rent to to take a better package, which I sure hope they'll accept. They are paying for internet that would be good for one household, when in reality all that bandwith or whatever is being used by a dozen apartments!
Can you say "fiber-optic" because I hope they eventually decide on going with that because you're bound to get more interest in your apartments if you advertise that you have fiber-optic internet (like free breakfast at hotels, or free wi-fi at Starbucks), and it would explain the $35 per month increase in my rent now that I've signed a new lease for another year.
Honestly, they haven't raised my rent in years, so I should have seen that coming. I really need to get out of this place. Why did I sign up for another year I don't understand. I have to say that the next time I move, I'm not sharing a wall, floor, or ceiling with anyone!
